Dare To: Live, Act, and Be Happy

Dare to be happy and share happiness.
To dare to live is to dare to act. It is to dare to become a conscious actor. It is to dare to know, experience and share ones positivity with the world. It is underpinned by the understanding of how our actions truly influence our happiness. We can then use this secret to help ourselves and others. We can dare to be happy and share happiness.
The secret in our actions? It is simply that every action we preform has an effect on us and ‘out’ there. Have you noticed this? If not, for a day become an observer of your actions and notice the impact that they have on you as well as ‘out’ there. Note if your actions make you feel happy, or not so happy. What happens if you choose to act differently than you usually do?
As we become more and more aware of how our actions impact how we feel and ‘out’ there, we open up our choices. New possibilities present themselves. We give ourselves the opportunity to dare to be conscious actors. To learn how to be happy and share happiness. To dare to understand the value of our everyday actions and of imbuing them with our natural positivity and gifts. This is also known as bringing ‘the spirit of service’ into our actions.
When there isn’t ‘the spirit of service’ in our actions, even though we attain our goals, we are left with a feeling of discontentment. When there is ‘the spirit of service’ filling our actions we experience contentment. We see the wonder of life, and of our own life. We see that, even in our day to day routine, we can make a positive difference to our own and others’ lives.
First, increase your own inner store of happiness. There are 3 aspects to this. One is to ruminate on happy not negative memories. Two, practice gratitude on a daily basis. Notice and log the everyday beauty, goodness and kindnesses. Three, get to know the ‘real’ you. The real you is your innate positivity that wants to express itself and be shared with the world.
Secondly, experiment with bringing ‘the spirit of service’ into your thoughts and actions. This doesn’t mean racing out to save the world… it means things like a kind wish for yourself or another, giving someone the benefit of the doubt when they make a mistake, offering someone your seat on the bus or offering to make someone a cup of tea.
The purpose of life is to know and share our gifts. In doing so we receive blessings and our happiness increases. It is to realise the self, explore our inner qualities and learn to infuse our actions with them. When we do we are really daring to live and know the wonder of life.
Reasons that kill our Zeal and Enthusiasm
Is our life being towed by the surrounding situation? Are we living a demotivated life?
In youth life, zeal and enthusiasm is like a breath, you cannot survive without breathing. Motivation is like the wings of a bird without which one cannot fly. One has to learn the art to keep the self in high spirit. One should know the reasons that bring us down.
Following are the points that bring us down, that kill our zeal and enthusiasm.
1. Absence of attentiveness: The soldiers at the border are always attentive and alert in every manner. They may be attacked from any direction, but they are well prepared and well trained. The same way, if we are not attentive and alert, negative thoughts, acts and deeds can destroy our zeal and enthusiasm. Let us protect the self
with positive thoughts, good wishes and good acts.
2. Comparing the self with others: One should not compare oneself with others. Everyone is unique.
Everyone DNA, thumb impression is different. Let us appreciate, admire and acknowledge uniqueness in the self & others. I am unique, no-one can play a better role than myself in my area of expertise.
3. Questioning: Why bad things happen to me, why my role in this world drama is not good. Most of
the time we are not happy with what we have and what we do. We keep on questioning things around us. Most of them are beyond our control.
For example: the ice fall in Kashmir, which resulted in chilled temperature at my place.
4. Worry & Fear: Fear and worry are seeds that
destroys zeal and enthusiasm. No failure is
defeat. One should not fear or worry from failures, learn the lesson from it and move ahead.
5. Low self-esteem: I am not capable of doing things. Inferiority Complex and low self-confidence
demotivate us, dampen our spirit and energy.
6. Carrying the past: We are carrying forward our past. We should delete or remove from our memories the things which were not in tune with
us. Learn to forgive and forget the self for some misdeeds and mistake, and move forward.
Not only one should keep zeal and enthusiasm, but also learn on how to bring others in that. We always love
people who motivates us. So, let us play the role of a motivator, encourager and inspirer. There is acute shortage of such personality.
Let us develop this good
quality to infuse passion and motivation in others.
Wealth of Experiences
and a source of power.
purposefully use our thoughts, we naturally do not waste our time. We keep attention on ourselves to ensure that we avoid wasteful, negative and vicious thoughts. We keep ourselves busy in educative and productive endeavours and purposefully focus on investing our time in the field of life where we gain pleasant experiences.
